- In the concluding story of The Bratva Vows series, there are countless scenes where the intensity of emotions displayed by a character greatly touched me in profound ways. Whether a person is feeling much joy or a situation is causing anguish, I also experienced the sentiment because of the author’s skilled writing. Andrius and Violet have been through a lot in the short time they have been together, and how they respond when any trust that has been built is taken away could change the course of their future.
After shocking facts come to light, Andrius at first thinks the already uncertain relationship that he had with Violet is over. But what they had shared over the time she has spent with him was not easily forgotten. Now the mob hitman must choose to whom he will give his loyalty, and if the choice is wrong, then both he and Violet could pay the ultimate price.
This series is the first that I have read by SR Jones, and she has definitely gained a new fan. There is always much passion behind any of the emotions being expressed, and the extent to which a character is affected by a situation was always very clear to me. How Andrius reacts at times shows the extent to which Violet affects him, as he is someone always in control. There is one emotional conflict after another, and whether they can take a risk with their hearts is a huge decision for them more than once. THE HIT is dramatically memorable with gripping situations and spirited characters. - I was so excited to start the last installment of Violet and Andrius' story. To see them not deny their attraction and love for each other, even after harsh realities come to life, was heart warming. Their struggle to come to terms with the truth of how they are irrevocably tied together, was inspiring.
Though I couldn't wait to get to the happy ending, I had hoped that maybe Violet and Justina could've shown their badassery, by kicking some mob butt. The introduction of the other players in the story has me so excited to read about their lives and hopefully get a little bit more of Andrius and Violet. Hopefully, their will be more to Justina, also. - Violet doesn’t know if Andrius is going to get rid of her permanently. - Violet knows what she felt with Andrius felt real, but she still can’t get past what happened, can she ever forgive him.
Andrius knows what he wants to do is risky, even being unsure if they can work, he still knows he has to protect Violet, even unsure of them with everything he has learnt he knows they have a connection that can’t be denied.
Can they work through everything from the past and move forward or will what Andrius wants to do put them both in danger. - There are three books in this series, and I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite. They all have breath-taking moments, surprises, delightful emotional buildup. This is a wonderful series about two people who made wrong choices as a result of their circumstances, yet both figured out how to turn their lives into, well, their own, versus blaming their upbringings. Outstanding reads. I’m about to go check out what else this author has written.
- I debated reading this but so glad I did. It was a wonderful ending to their story. Love truly is magical. Even though Voilet is still irrational as hell, and Andrius is crazy they make it work. The story is wonderfully written and wish the author does a story on Justine. It would be fascinating because she is. Now to look at her other novels.
- This was definitely one of the better Mafia/romance stories. This book kept me interested throughout the entire book and the characters were stunning.
- I have read the whole series....heart stopping ! So intense..Exciting...I would give it a ten! They had so much sadness in there lives...to find each other was beautiful. It took him so long to make her feel loved...her longing and doubt mad me cry. I don't cry....that's superb writing.
